Full Job Description

The Accountant will be responsible for an array of general accounting and tax assignments. The position is full time with overtime required January through April.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare/review monthly general ledger work, bank reconciliations, sales tax returns, and payroll liability payments/forms.
• Prepare/review weekly payroll processing for various clients as well as quarterly and year-end payroll tax forms.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements.
• Assist in preparation of year-end income tax planning for business and individual clients.
• Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and not for profit organizations.
• Research issues and respond to staff and client questions as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 per year

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting and a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in public accounting. CPA designation preferred.
• Effectively able to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with clients and staff in a professional manner.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, establish and meet deadlines, and transfer between projects quickly.
• Working knowledge of both Excel and QuickBooks Desktop and Online.
• Experience using ProSystem Tax software is preferred but not required.
