The Financial Reporting Accountant is responsible for supporting OneAmerica’s accounting and finance organization to ensure compliance with both U.S. GAAP and statutory accounting. This includes researching, documenting and resolving various GAAP and Statutory accounting conclusions. The Financial Reporting Accountant will partner with key areas in corporate finance, corporate actuarial and the business divisions.
Assist with GAAP reporting and insurance company statutory reporting and filings
Prepare and review separate account financial reporting and filings
Prepare and review broker dealer financial reporting and filings
Assist with external audit oversight
Prepare and review insurance company department of insurance filings and financial surveys
Identify and assist with process improvements and process documentation
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
2+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience
GAAP and Statutory accounting experience preferred.
