Primary Responsibilities • Meeting with new clients to sell Storen Financial and our services • Preparation of Individual, Business and Trust tax returns. • Preparing and pulling off financial statements from clients to prepare their tax returns. • Meeting and talking frequently with clients to gather information and prepare their returns. • Representing Storen Financial in the community with Not for Profit organizations and community events • Networking in the community with attorneys and other CPA's • Responding to IRS and state notices for clients • Working with clients for IRS and state resolutions • Continually working to improve processes and the client experience • Payroll processing, bookkeeping and accounting • Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes.
Position Requirements • Strong work ethic • An outgoing personality with a love for taxes and small businesses • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and notes. • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers and the general public. • Ability to read a financial statement and analyze a balance sheet. • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. • Ability to solve practical problems and prepare projections for clients. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel • Knowledge of Salesforce software and Thomson Reuters software suite of products including Ultratax, Practice CS and File Cabinet CS is a definite plus.
Experience – At least 3-5 years of previous tax accounting work experience including experience with the public and an understanding of a “Tax Season” work ethic
License Requirements - Must obtain CPA license or EA credentials within 2 years
